According to data from the Turkish Ministry of Trade, foreign trade transactions denominated in Turkish lira totaled 916.966 billion lira during the January-to-July period, marking a 10.4% increase compared with the equivalent period in the prior year.

Export performance showed particular strength when measured in local currency terms. Turkish exports denominated in lira increased 14.9%, rising from 190.349 billion lira to 218.738 billion lira. Imports denominated in Turkish lira also expanded, climbing 9.1% from 640.179 billion lira to 698.228 billion lira. Over the same period, Turkey's total exports rose 3.4% year-on-year to $161.601 billion when measured in US dollar terms.
