Ashghal Continues Construction of New Rainwater Pump Station in Semaisma

The Public Works Authority Ashghal is advancing construction of a new rainwater pump station in Semaisma as part of its broader infrastructure development initiative. The project forms part of Ashghal's commitment to developing sustainable infrastructure and improving the efficiency of rainwater drainage networks across Qatar.

The pump station will serve Semaisma Main Street and Semaisma West Street, functioning as a component of an integrated drainage system designed to enhance the area's preparedness during the rainy season. According to Project Engineer Ali Mostafawi, the facility will collect rainwater and pump it to a designated collection point for future reuse, contributing to more efficient water resource management and environmental sustainability. The project includes construction of the stormwater pump station along with associated infrastructure and supporting facilities required to connect it to the area's existing stormwater drainage network.

The initiative addresses multiple objectives including improving road safety, enhancing quality of life, and supporting urban development. By reducing rainwater accumulation and flooding risks, the project will maintain smooth traffic flow during rainfall and ensure service continuity.
