The Israeli military initiated a large-scale crackdown across the occupied West Bank following a confrontation in the village of Tal near Nablus on Friday that resulted in four Palestinian deaths and two Israeli soldier fatalities. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the wide-scale military operation, which intensified on Sunday with raids across multiple towns and villages. Hundreds of Palestinians were detained during overnight operations spanning numerous locations including Jenin, Hebron, Bethlehem, Tulkarem, and Ramallah. Concurrently, Jewish settlers escalated violent activities, including attempted arson attacks on two mosques. The Al-Rahma Mosque in Qusra southeast of Nablus was targeted with spray-painted slogans reading "Jewish revenge," and fire consumed portions of the structure. A second mosque in the village of Kour south of Tulkarem was also targeted in an arson attempt, though worshippers extinguished the fire before significant damage occurred. Israeli forces conducted raids in multiple areas, with documented incidents of assaults on paramedics and civilians. The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported an assault on one of its paramedics in Masafer Yatta south of Hebron. Israeli authorities imposed strict traffic restrictions and established numerous security checkpoints across main roads and village entrances throughout the West Bank.
