The Qatar Stock Exchange concluded the trading week with a gain of 191.56 points, closing at 10,112.25 points and representing a 1.93 percent increase from the previous week's close. Six sectors contributed to the upward movement, though the consumer goods and services sector experienced a decline during the same period.

According to financial analyst Mohammed Salem Al Darwish, geopolitical conditions in the region have directly influenced market performance in recent weeks. He highlighted that efforts toward de-escalation have provided meaningful support to the stock exchange this week. The analyst noted that the index has successfully broken through the 10,000-point threshold and is positioned to sustain these gains in the coming week, supported by indicators suggesting a reduction in regional tensions.

Al Darwish projected that continued signs of de-escalation and a potential reopening of the Strait of Hormuz could provide additional momentum for the market. He cited the underlying strength of Qatar's economy and the solid financial condition of listed companies as factors supporting the index's trajectory.

Sector-by-sector analysis revealed that insurance led performance gains at 3.52 percent, followed by telecommunications at 3.51 percent, transportation at 3.48 percent, banking and financial services at 2.57 percent, real estate at 1.45 percent, and industry at 0.55 percent. The consumer goods and services sector declined by 0.56 percent.

Trading activity during the week totaled 678,213,770 shares exchanged across 124,383 transactions, generating a combined value exceeding QR 1.69 billion across all sectors.
