Who is Jordan Salinas, ‘hero’ bystander who confronted Idaho shooter?

A mass shooting occurred at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho on Saturday afternoon, resulting in at least three deaths and approximately seven injuries. The suspected attacker, 24-year-old Chad Williams, opened fire at the establishment before being confronted by an off-duty police officer and a civilian bystander. Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks stated that the actions of these two individuals forced the suspect away from the scene, likely preventing additional casualties. Williams was later found dead near the location from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Jordan Salinas, a 35-year-old healthcare worker from Kimberly, Idaho, has been identified through viral social media videos as the civilian who confronted the shooter. While police have not officially named Salinas, he came forward to recount his actions to the Idaho Statesman newspaper. According to reports, Salinas was present at the restaurant as a customer when the incident occurred.

One of the victims was confirmed to be an employee of the restaurant. In-N-Out owner and president Lynsi Snyder released a statement expressing grief over the loss. Of the seven injured individuals, two were treated and discharged from hospital, three remained in stable condition, and two were in critical condition. Police Chief Hicks indicated that authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack and noted that the suspect's family is cooperating with the investigation. The FBI has requested that members of the public share any videos or images related to the incident with law enforcement.
